Scammed charge to phone bill

Several months ago I started receiving a 9.99 per month charge on my phone bill. (714-402-****). This is a total unauthorized charge and I demand it be removed from all future bills. If this is not done immediately I will file charges with the ICC for fraud.I am also going to complain to Verizon for allowing this sort of fraudulent situation to happen. z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z

Predicto Mobile and T-Mobile

My son at age 16 got scammed into a survey. My T-Mobile account was supposed to be locked so that only me, the primary phone and account holder, could make changes. We have been getting charged $9.99 since 2008 under a category of premium services. I assumed this was part of the smart phone upgrade, habdset protection, and didn't pay much attention. Come to find out it was predicto mobile. There is no reason T-Mobile should have been allowing this on a minors phone, let alone hiding it amoungst line items that are hard to understand as well.

Unauthorized charges to our phone account

This company, "PridictoMobile," has attempted to charge out phone account for two months in a row for services never used or asked for. This company may be fraudulent and certainly is unethical in its approach to aquiring business. The charges that were attempted show on your bill as $9.99 each. Billed on cell phone from unknown company

I was getting these odd text messages from Predicto.com, I wasnt even aware of who they were or how they got my number to text me. I stopped the texts from coming in by responding STOP. Than I got another text stating: You will no longer be charged for this service. What service, who the *** were they? Well a few days later I recieved my cell phone bill...to find a charge of $9.99 to PredictoMobile, plus a huge casual data use of 2016 KB with a charge of $60.48. My cell phone company deleted the fees, but PredictoMobile should be stopped.

Same thing happened to me recently. I had to get the $9.99 charge removed from my bill as well.

I knew I got scammed.

I now have texting disabled on my cell phone due to scammers! ;)

Marcelle R Kaa

About one month ago, I started receiving those text messages on my cellphone [ATT provider]. I just cancel or delete them.

I don't have the text message option.

My Husband is looking at our bill right now.

Thank you for posting it.

STOLE MONEY

Predicto Mobile's company is a total scam! They charge you $9.99 just for your phone number? I had to call my service provider and ask to have my account reviewed to prove to them that I didn't owe them anything. Predicto claimed they would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. Its been approximately 5days and I still haven't heard anything from them, and then on top of that you would have to wait for a check to get your refund! Why cant they put the money back on the same way they took it off?

Charged Without Consent

I too have noticed for the first time a charge of 9.99 my carrier is reversing . I am filing a formal complaint with the WV Attorney Generals Office for Fraudulent charges. Your customer reps first words are can I have your Cell Phone Number . No I don't this so. I don't understand how this charge appeared to begin with and I will not give them the information of the phone. Just wanted everyone who reads to be aware. Review your cell bill thoroughly for hidden charges and discrepencies. I had not reviewed mine for a few months and as soon as i stopped This company was what I saw. Beware

Predictomobile scammed our 16-yr old!

Just checking our family T-Mobile billing details, noticed a $9.99 charge on daughter's phone for a service called Predictomobile. When we called T-Mobile, we were told to text a message to the original six-digit number saying "stop." She did this and got a return message saying she was unsubscribed. However, she claims she does not remember subscribing in the first place. I also received a call asking me to answer a survey question, and being an adult, I promptly told them we were on the national do not call list and hung up. This is a scam because they do not clearly tell kids they are selling some service, and this could happen to millions of kids before anybody can stop it. Keep an eye on your cell phone bill. Luckily T-Mobile has all the details of each bill on line so we can look at them any time. I feel this is one more symptom of the lack of basic morality, a simple concept of right and wrong, that has become part of our culture. What kind of thinking can make it okay to scam kids???

Does anyone know of a lawsuit pending against predicto? They billed my account for 12 months before I noticed it (dumb me) and now they won't give me my money back.

They keep saying they will send me 39.00 but haven't eaven sent that amount. I would like to join a lawsuit and teach them a lesson about putting their hands into other peoles pockets for the purpose of STEALING.

Guest

predicto is a a real website that gives real prizes, it isnt a scam.

Guest

Just argued with predicto after calling 180* *** ****. Would not refund my 9.99.

Said their data base showed where we made up a pin and accepted the membership. Well once I said I wanted a copy of the data base ,time date and pin used to take it to my lawyer they said OK we will send you 9.99 back. I thought so.

They have no proof. What a SCAM!

Guest

I just called the number provided by Betsy above (1-80*-***-****) fought with them for 10 minutes and they are sending a refund check.

Guest

Unfortunately I am not as savvy as the younger generation and my grown children insisted I get a computer. Trying very hard to teach myself how to use the internet, I seemed to end up with Predicto on several Sprint bills.

My husband didn't realize what it was and paid the bill every month.

as soon as I saw it on this last bill I called a representative at Sprint to have it taken off immediately because I had tried several times to remove it and it kept coming up as $9.99 each month. I would love to get my money back..I will be making calls to whomever and where ever I have to so I can retrieve my money.....

Guest

PredictoMobile charged my Verizon phone 9.99 this month. I did not order their service!!

I called Verizon and they told me to text "stop" to their 654654 number. Verizon did not refund my money.

I also called Predicto and they sent me a cancellation confirmation over the phone. Hope they do not show up on my other lines.

Guest

Was bill $9.99 on my Verizon bill. Had no idea what it was.

I had been receiving texts from them and thought it was just spam, so I deleted them. They tell me I signed up for the service. I told them I would never knowingly sign up for such a service. They couldn't tell me where I signed up.

They just told me it was from a third party web site. I'm reporting them to the BBB.

Guest

The same happened here. Predicto charged my moms line and she didnt know what it was.

I handle all the billing so when I noticed it I called tmobile and they told me to text stop to the number 654654.

I hope it doesnt come back on the next bill. :(

Guest

:( I also had the "$9.99" charge on my Sprint bill. Spoke with representative at Sprint who informed me of the 3rd party charge by Predicto Mobile.

Rep gave me the number 1-80*-***-**** of PM. Rep from PM advised me that i received a SMS and that I replied to this SMS. Totally untrue!! Rep said they couldn't refund the charge, but would remove me from their account.

Recalled Sprint who then reversed the charge and blocked all 3rd party's from accessing my mobile number. BE AWARE!

Guest

So, I had the same issue, never heard of this company until I saw the $9.99 on my Sprint bill. Sprint took the charge off & blocked my account so third parties cannot access my account anymore.

What I'm wondering is, do I have to still try to contact PredictoMobile to make sure they don't try to bill me some other way? Or should this be the end of the issue, once they realize they cannot bill through my cell service?

Predictomobile charged me with out my approval

Predictomobile charged me with out my approval or knowledge. I just received my Sprint bill and it had a charge for $9.99 for PredictoMobile-vte. It took me some time to get it off my bill. The Sprint customer service rep said that she had been getting a lot of calls about charges from this company. People are PISSED!!! They must be very sneaky about how they charge you. This charge also continues every Month until you cancel. They need to be shut down. Rep Off artist!!!!!!! What a waste of my time. Hopefully the Gov will shut them down. Mark

Predictomobile...web survey scam...

Perdictomobile No purchase necessary to play or win. Answer one survey question, they send you a 6 digit number by texting...enter that number online and presto you just signed up to their scam for 9.99 per month!!! Now you have to find them on line, then customer service and argue with them while they tell you how exactley you signed up. No where is it mentioned that a cost is involved on the survey, by the time you get your cell phone bill a month has passed and you have been a member so they won't take the charge off. Do the math...9.99 times a million..i guess they can afford to give away 50k as a prize....nice of them...

Thanks Sharyn, for taking the time to respond and report them to AG...you are correct teens have no clue..plus most of them aren't paying the phone bill anyways so they don't care..This is what we have raised in this country..(our fault)...

And John for all iI know you are the president of Predicto mobile and since you are taking the train in from CT and your 3 million $$ home ..I doubt that you will miss the 9.99 per month ..Glad you are amused..(J/k)

It's not the $9.99...it's as JonX said , it' sthe fact that it was stolen from me...

Can't imagine that these ain't hangin offences?? Maybe i should move to Nigeria and get rich with the rest of the low lifes..???

Sigh....

Guest

:( They are scamming and slamming teenagers!! Now exactly how can a MINOR enter into a contract that changes another contract (our cell phone agreement with company)?

First of all a MINOR cannot enter into a contract of any kind without parental approval. My daughter said they sent her a text question.

She had absolutely no idea she was going to be charged $9.99 a month. Not anymore and I reported them to my State Attorney General as well!

Guest

Actually, i like their games and the prizes and point system makes it easy to get free stuff!!! TO me its worth the 9.99 just so I can play on the train on the way to work.

Guest

btw...i called customer service & they wanted to send me a text-HA!...you've got to be kidding me!!

Guest

I agree...they are sneeky. contact your phone co & they will usually *** the charge when you explain how you were tricked!

Guest

Yeah, they survive by the small print in the surveys.

The whole way this company operates is shady, and although I'm sure their games are fun to some people, I gotta' say that the $9.99 they got through my last month's phone bill involved no enjoyment on either my or my wife's part (and she says she doesn't even remember taking the survey. I wonder... maybe someone *somehow* signed her up).

As far as I'm concerned, this company stole from me. That they found an underanded legal way to do it is just icing on the cake.

Block the SMS feature on your phone if you don't use it. You'll be a lot happier.

I had the similar issue. A Web search for "predictomobile" shows we are not alone.

I was told that I signed up for the service through smileymedia.com (never heard of it) from an IP address in Santa Clara, CA.

I live in Texas and haven't even been to California in years. I can't belive this is legal, and that the phone companies are OK with this.

Downloaded and text messaged me without my permission

I think it really stinks that these people are billing customers on any cell phone company as a third party bill. I have had to call Sprint 3 times and have the same charges removed from my bill. These people are making a ton of money on people and nobody even knows where this is coming from. When you try to go to their website and get a way to contact them, you cannot fill out a complaint without giving your cell phone # again, which is probably how I got ripped off in the first place. This is fraud. Someone should be arrested for what is going on. I am really angry about this and I hope that there are not too many people out there that think oh, its only 10 bucks I'll just pay it this time and have the service removed. It is ridiculous.

This company is a scam, they took my money with a lie, I didn't used my cell to call them

This company is a scam, they took my money without asking or letting me know that they would charge me for anything, they just trick you with a survey on the computer and then rob you money, sending you a $9.99 bill plus they never stop sending you text messages that cost you more money, maybe someone needs to call better business bureau, or consumer's affairs, maybe that will stop them from cheating people with lies.and the cell phone company should have a solution if they see that we are been taken advantage of,instead of telling people to call them.

My son (12 yrs old) has a phone and has been billed 9.99 a month. I went to Alltel to find out how this got on our bill and it is from doing those surveys people send you on facebook and you have to put your number in to get the results. Please inform your kids if anybody sends them a survey and after taking it asks for your number don't do it!
